Conagra Brands Inc. has announced that its portfolio company, Hometown Food Company, will acquire the Chef Boyardee brand for $600 million. The agreement includes the acquisition of an 820,000 square foot facility in Milton, PA, along with all assets and operations dedicated to the Chef Boyardee brand. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025, pending customary U.S. regulatory review. Chef Boyardee, a leader in shelf-stable meals, will join Hometown's portfolio of nostalgic brands. The acquisition is the largest in Brynwood Partners' history, which owns Hometown, and is anticipated to bolster their manufacturing network and annual sales significantly.
