1225 ET - With Qualcomm's total handset revenue dominated by Chinese sales, competition and lagging demand in the region pose the biggest risk to the overall segment's current double-digit growth rate, Bank of America Securities analysts said in a research note. Chinese competitor MediaTek continues to move into premium tier devices, threatening Qualcomm's share of the market, the analysts said. Meanwhile, after a few quarters of 40% growth, China demand has started to slow, the analysts said. Shares are down 8.3%. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
