WeRide (WRD) said Friday it has rolled out a paid Level-4 autonomous robobus commercial service in central Guangzhou, China.
WeRide's said its driverless robobus operates a 13.6 kilometers loop in Guangzhou's Yuexiu District, connecting major landmarks, carrying up to six passengers per trip lasting 55 minutes, with tickets priced at 10 renminbi ($1.38) and a 50% discount during the trial period.
Shares of WeRide were up nearly 7% in recent Friday trading.
