Warren Buffett told his shareholders Saturday that he will recommend ceding his role as Berkshire Hathaway's chief executive at the end of this year.
Speaking at Berkshire's annual meeting in Omaha, Buffett said he will discuss the succession plan at the company's board meeting on Sunday.
"The time has arrived where Greg should become CEO of the company at yearend," he said of Greg Abel.
