美国财政部长斯科特·贝森特谈到美国经济表现时称，显示第一季度经济萎缩的GDP报告“并不代表当前经济状况”，“尽管我们继承了一些疲软，但第一季度表现良好”，他预计数据将被修正。

　　“其中很大一部分可能与构建库存有关。如果将数据拆解，我认为其中存在一些异常情况”。

　　贝森特还表示，“我们看到2年期利率目前低于联邦基金利率，因此这是市场发出信号，称他们认为美联储应当降息”。

　　他还表示，围绕关税的不确定性最终会消散，所有人都“应该深呼吸”。

　　“我们不会一夜之间解决这个问题，但我认为，不确定性会消散”。

　　他同时表示，与印尼财长进行了非常好的会晤。

　　美国财长贝森特称，目前未参与欧盟的会谈；将采取措施降低欧洲的数字服务税。

　　他还透露，今日将与日本就贸易事宜举行会谈。
