CME Group (CME) said Friday its average daily volume in April reached a new monthly high of 35.9 million contracts, a 36% increase from the same month last year.
The company said interest rate ADV rose 46% to 18.4 million contracts, while equity index and metals products hit new monthly records at 9.7 million and 1 million contracts, respectively.
CME said it also posted a record international ADV of 10.9 million contracts in April, with EMEA at 7.8 million, Asia at 2.6 million, and Latin America at 235,000.
