Turkey - Factors To Watch on May 2

ANKARA, May 2 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at a record low 38.56 at 0259 GMT, after closing at 38.4475 against the U.S. dollar on Thursday.

The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.59% lower at 9,078.43 points on Wednesday.

GLOBAL MARKETS

Asian stock markets and U.S. futures rose on Friday as signs of possible trade talks between the U.S. and China lifted risk sentiment after lacklustre earnings from tech bellwethers Apple and Amazon fuelled worries about the impact of tariffs.

ERDOGAN SCHEDULE

President Tayyip Erdogan will attend an event on natural resources (1130 GMT) and then a forum of the anti-addiction NGO Green Crescent in Istanbul (1300 GMT).

TRADE MINISTER

Trade Minister Omer Bolat will hold a press conference to announce April trade data (0800 GMT).

PMI

The Istanbul Chamber of Industry $(ISO)$ will publish the March manufacturing industry purchasing managers index $(PMI.UK)$ compiled by S&P Global (0700 GMT).

BANKING DATA

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) will publish sector data for March (1100 GMT).

CENTRAL BANK DATA

The central bank will announce its weekly data, including on forex reserves (1130 GMT).
