9:50 ET -- Shake Shack says comparable sales were up just 0.2% in 1Q, well below analyst estimates for a 2.4% gain, as bad weather and consumer pressure knocked traffic down 4.6% year-over-year. Locations in New York City, Los Angeles and the Mid-Atlantic, which includes Washington D.C., accounted for about three quarters of the negative traffic, due partly to inclement weather. Same-Shack sales otherwise grew in nearly two-thirds of its markets, led by the South and the Midwest, the company says. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
