1501 ET - ServiceNow's acquisition of data.world reflects the company's growing focus on the quality of the data it throws at its AI agents, says Gaurav Rewari, who leads ServiceNow's data and analytics products. For "a lot of our customers, that road to agentic AI heaven, if you will, goes through some form of a data hell," Rewari says in an interview. Data.world's data catalog will improve that journey by providing more context for ServiceNow's AI agents, sharing information like how long an employee has been with the company or what department they're in, Rewari says. The AI agents' actions or recommendations will be more relevant and accurate as a result, he says. He says customers liked ServiceNow's increased data integration offerings, but wanted to infuse them with a semantic layer.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
