Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) said reverse circulation drilling at the Lakeview prospect at the Comet Vale gold project in Western Australia intercepted more high-grade gold mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The results from the drilling included significant intercepts of eight meters at 5.8 grams per tonne grade of gold from 68 meters, as well as seven meters at 1.3 g/t gold from 201 meters.

It plans to conduct comprehensive mapping and rock chip sampling in the coming weeks to help target discovery drilling in the Lakeview area, and it has begun diamond drilling at the prospect as well. Resource discovery drilling programs are being planned.

It is targeting a resource update for the Sovereign prospect by the third quarter and a maiden resource estimate for the Lakeview prospect by the fourth quarter.

The firm's shares fell 3% in recent trading on Thursday.
