FireFly Metals (ASX:FFM) said latest drilling at the Green Bay project in Canada intersected high-grade copper and gold mineralization more than 200 meters beyond the current mineral resource, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The drilling revealed the continuity and thickness of the high-grade upper copper and gold massive sulfide zone, intersecting multiple zones of the thick copper footwall zone stringer style mineralization, the filing said.
The company plans to increase underground drilling capacity to seven rigs to expedite mining studies, with a sixth rig set to arrive in late May, per the filing.
Shares were up 6% in morning trade on Wednesday.
