Lynas CEO says Australia plan for critical minerals stockpiles is 'uneconomic'

SYDNEY, May 7 (Reuters) - The CEO of Australia's Lynas LYC.AX said the government's plan to stockpile critical minerals is an "uneconomic" policy.

"You need to focus on developing a strong and successful business, and one which relies upon government funding to construct and then government funding to produce is probably by definition uneconomic," said CEO Amanda Lacaze at the Macquarie Australia Conference in Sydney.
