Woodside faces investor backlash over climate policies at AGM

Woodside Energy is bracing for another round of investor backlash after several big superannuation funds flagged they would vote against the re-appointment of directors in protest over the energy giant’s climate policies.

Australia’s biggest oil and gas producer has this year declined to offer investors the chance to directly vote on its environmental plans, after suffering an embarrassing shareholder rebuke at its annual general meeting last year.
