消息面上，潍柴动力此前公布第一季度报告，按中国会计准则，实现营业收入574.64亿人民币，同比增加1.9%；归属股东净利润27.11亿元，同比增长4.3%。国泰海通证券指出，一季度KION因其效率计划本期计提相关支出人民币14.65亿元，影响归母净利润4.72亿元。
花旗发表研究报告称，潍柴动力一季度财报符合预期。虽然集团公布将动用5亿至10亿元人民币进行A股回购，但该行认为金额只占集团市值0.24%至0.49%，相信对短期股价的推动作用有限。该行将其H股目标价由18.4港元下调至16.3港元，维持“中性”评级。
