ioneer Finalizes Mine Plan for Nevada Lithium-Boron Project

ioneer (ASX:INR) is finalizing a mine plan to prioritize stream one high-boron lithium ore due to its higher contained metal value and superior economic returns at the Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron project in Nevada, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The project comprises three distinct ore types based on primary mineralogy: stream one, stream two, and stream three.

The streams two and three low-boron lithium mineralization are largely excluded as feed to the vat leach process plant and will be either stockpiled or left in situ.

Falcon gravity concentrator testwork was performed on samples from streams two and three material. The testwork demonstrated the ability to achieve material increases in both lithium grade and lithium yield, combined with significant mass rejection.

The current planned 2.5 million tonnes-per-annum processing plant aims to process high-boron lithium ore.
