Several European airlines cancelled flights to Israel's Ben Gurion Airport after it was the target of an attack by Yemen's Houthis militia on Sunday.

Germany's flagship Lufthansa said Monday that flights were suspended until May 6. Italian carrier ITA Airways also suspended flights until May 6 and "including AZ809 and AZ815 flights scheduled on May 7."

British Airways--part of International Consolidated Airline Group--said it was monitoring the operating conditions and that flights to and from Tel Aviv were suspended up to, and including, May 7. Iberia Express, also part of IAG, said it canceled flight on Sunday and Monday, and that it was further monitoring the situation.

IAG shares were flat at 279 pence ($3.49) in early trade, with Lufthansa up 1.7% at 6.57 euros ($7.42).
