Macquarie Group's (ASX:MQG) asset management arm now fully owns Island Green Power in the UK after buying an additional 50% stake in the renewable energy firm for an undisclosed amount, according to a May 2 statement.
Island Green Power focuses on utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system projects. Macquarie Asset Management first invested in Island Green Power in 2022, per the statement.
Island Green Power's founders will retain full ownership of the company's international business. In the UK, the company said it will transition into an independent power producer from a pure development business.
