IT之家 5 月 5 日消息，在上个月举办的魏牌全新高山预售发布会上，长城汽车总裁穆峰称“长城汽车打死也不做增程”，引发网友热议。对此，长城汽车创始人、董事长魏建军进行了回应。
魏建军表示：
虽然不是我说的，但是我也不支持做这个增程，我们还是支持这个串混联，关键是效率提升了。你要一个在车（行业）里边燃油效率，基本说提升百分之十几，即便提升 1%，节省零点几升油，我们都特别重视。我们为什么要去做增程呢？所以说我们长城就没有这个规划增程这个技术，我们所有的动力都是混联技术。
IT之家注意到，对于长城汽车是否做增程的争论由来已久。理想汽车 CEO 李想于 2023 年 11 月在微博发文称，还在坚持多档（挡）PHEV 的自主品牌车企，将在未来一两年内都转换成增程式的技术路线，并喊话“可以 2025 年来验证”。李想在评论区中还称，“我认为‘长城系’和‘吉利系’都会转向增程式路线。”不过，理想汽车 CEO 李想的这一说法后续被长城汽车高管否定。
