0856 GMT - Intercontinental Hotels shows its confidence in the profit consensus, with its current performance reassuring and in line with what peers have reported, Jefferies analysts say in a note. Its 2Q revenue on the books shows growth in revenue per available room from last year--compared with Marriott's RevPar guidance of 1.5% to 2.5% and Hilton's flat--and the Americas being flat, the analysts say. "IHG is a long-term compounder with a growth algorithm that rivals Marriott's," Jefferies says. Shares are up 3% at 8,866 pence, and are up 12% over the past 12 months.
