黄金攀升，扭转周三美联储维持利率不变、主席鲍威尔称不急于降息引发的跌势。
前一交易日下跌2%的金价回到了3,400美元。鲍威尔警告说，美国总统特朗普的关税议程令通胀上升和经济增长放缓风险都增大了，但他补充说美联储等得起，可以维持政策不变，直至他们对经济走向看得更加清楚。
美联储主席讲话后，美元走高，使得黄金对大多数买家来说变得更加昂贵。降息次数减小的可能性也利空黄金，因为黄金不孳息，在低利率环境会更具吸引力。交易员们仍押注美联储在2025年内至少还会降息三次，大多数市场人士认为7月有可能降息。
投资者们还在关注白宫在贸易方面的最新消息。
金价今年以来已上涨近30%，因为在特朗普激进的贸易和地缘政治政策造成市场普遍混乱的背景下，投资者寻求避险。金价在4月曾创每盎司3,500美元之上的纪录新高，但最近几周有所回落。
截至发稿，现货黄金上涨1%至每盎司3,399美元。美元即期指数走低，其周三上涨了0.5%。
