Somerset Minerals (ASX:SMM) completed the acquisition of Sentinel Resources, which, through its local subsidiary, holds the Coppermine project in Canada, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The project is fully permitted and fully funded for a maiden exploration campaign, scheduled to commence in around two weeks, including a regional surface sampling program following up on historical rock chip results of up to 45.4% grade of copper, followed by a maiden drill campaign in early July.
The drilling at the Coronation target will focus on large coincident geophysical and geochemical anomalies.
Its shares rose 8% on market close on Monday.
