快科技5月6日消息，在刘强东看来，做企业的价值就是改善员工生活，否则没意义。
近日中国人民大学校友会发布刘强东相关视频，刘强东称：“你创业为了什么？做企业目的是什么？如果不能为社会创造价值、不能为行业创造价值，那么你就不是一个实事求是的态度。你的员工过来的时候，你不能让他生活的有尊严、不能够改善他的生活，不仅是个人的生活，包括他整个家庭的生活质量的话，那么我觉得，所有企业可能存在的价值也没有。”
刘强东还直言：“当时是因为家里面都很穷，所以村里面最好的也就是鸡蛋了。带了七十六个鸡蛋，然后到了人大。前面一星期为了省钱呢，也就没怎么去食堂，就全部吃鸡蛋一天三餐。人大呢，老实说，在这个学校里面度过了，我可以说是人生中最重要的四年。最早创业也是在人大，可以说是塑造我的价值观最重要的四年。”
刘强东也在用行动践行自己的上述发言。
之前刘强东多次给京东员工加薪，这引来了网友的点赞，而京东外卖上线后，其还率先给外卖员增加五险一金。
