Nippon Electric Glass (TYO:5214) repurchased 883,100 shares for 2.84 billion yen in April as part of its ongoing buyback program, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
As of April 30, the company has bought back a total of 2.3 million shares for 7.88 billion yen since the program began in February.
The board-approved plan allows for the repurchase of up to 7 million shares, or 8.67% of outstanding stock, through December.
