Silex Systems Says Uranium Enrichment Technology Demonstration Testing Starts in North Carolina; Shares Down 14%

Silex Systems (ASX:SLX) said Global Laser Enrichment (GLE), the exclusive licensee of its laser-based uranium enrichment technology, started TRL-6 demonstration testing at its test loop facility in North Carolina, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The demonstration is expected to validate large-scale enrichment performance and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, the filing said.

The company and GLE are utilizing the TRL-6 test program's insights to enhance the scaling and manufacturability of advanced plant equipment, per the filing.

Silex Systems shares fell nearly 14% in morning trade Tuesday.
