Peabody能源公司周一表示，如果涉及英美资源集团莫兰巴北矿的问题未能得到令其满意的解决，该公司可能会选择终止其正在进行的收购这家英国矿业公司部分澳大利亚炼焦煤资产的交易。

　　英美资源集团位于澳大利亚昆士兰州鲍文盆地的莫兰巴北煤矿，在今年 3 月发生井下火灾后，已暂停生产。

　　该煤矿包含在两家公司去年签署的资产交易范围内。

　　Peabody能源公司首席执行官吉姆・格雷奇在一份声明中表示：“此次收购价值的很大一部分与莫兰巴北矿相关，但目前还不知道长壁开采恢复生产的时间表。”

　　Peabody公司称，如果该煤矿的问题未能在收购协议规定的时间内得到解决，公司可能会退出这笔交易。
