0835 GMT - Bitcoin rises to a three-month high after President Trump said he was set to announce a major trade deal, boosting investor appetite for risky assets. Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform that the deal was with a "highly respected country" and would be the first of many agreements. Media reports suggest the deal is with the U.K. It comes after China and the U.S. agreed to initiate negotiations in Switzerland over the weekend to de-escalate the trade war. Bitcoin rises to a high of $99,683, according to LSEG. (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
