CVC Explores $8 Bln Bid for Duty-Free Retailer Avolta, Sky News Says, Citing Sources

-- Investment firm CVC Capital Partners is considering a 6 billion-pound ($8.02 billion) offer for the Swiss duty-free retailer Avolta, Sky News reported on late Tuesday citing unnamed sources.

-- CVC is at early stages of considering to make an offer, and it is far from certain that any formal approach would be made, Sky News reported.

-- CVC declined to comment to Sky News, while Avolta did not respond to a request for comment.
