South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution (KRX:373220) will launch a 20-foot container-type energy storage system using European-made lithium iron phosphate cells at InterBattery Europe 2025 in Munich, The Korea Herald reported Tuesday.
The stackable ESS features the new JF2S cell with 2.7 times more energy capacity and enhanced safety via thermal barrier technology. LG will also showcase the JF1R ESS for European households, which can be installed by one person in 10 minutes and has a 15-year warranty period, the report said.
Production of ESS batteries will begin at the firm's Polish plant by end-2025, it said.
