May 6 - NetApp (NTAP, Financial) and Intel (INTC, Financial) have rolled out the NetApp AIPod Mini, a packaged AI inferencing system built to help individual departments deploy AI without deep technical expertise or huge budgets.

Enterprises have embraced AI to boost efficiency and decision‑making, yet generic tools often fall short for specific teams. A Harvard Business School study found consultants using AI completed 12.2 percent more tasks and were 25.1 percent faster. NetApp AIPod Mini aims to close that gap by combining Intel® Xeon® 6 processors and Advanced Matrix Extensions with NetApp's all‑flash storage, data management, and Kubernetes support.

The pre‑built Retrieval‑Augmented Generation workflows let legal teams automate document drafting, retail units personalize shopping and pricing, and manufacturers optimize maintenance and supply chains.

“Teams shouldn't face complexity or cost barriers to AI,” said Dallas Olson, NetApp's chief commercial officer. “AIPod Mini turns enterprise data into tailored insights that drive real outcomes.”

Built on the open Open Platform for Enterprise AI framework, the solution offers modular deployment and scales AI inferencing affordably. Intel Xeon processors boost performance and efficiency, making sophisticated AI tasks accessible to every business unit.
