BlockBeats 消息，5 月 7 日，据 TheBlock 报道，韩国最大在野党共同民主党总统候选人李在明 5 月 6 日通过 Facebook 发文，承诺若当选将推动批准加密货币现货 ETF，并建立综合监管体系以保障数字资产投资安全。李在明表示此举将为韩国年轻一代创造更多机会，同时提出新型计息储蓄计划和青年财务规划项目。李在明竞争对手，保守派国民力量党候选人金文秀同样承诺解除加密 ETF 禁令。若政策落地，韩国或成亚洲首个批准加密现货 ETF 的主要经济体。
韩国金融委员会（FSC）目前禁止本土发行或交易加密现货 ETF，认定比特币等加密货币缺乏作为 ETF 底层资产的法律依据。FSC 主席金炳炫 5 月 7 日表示认同总统候选人的 ETF 政策方向，承诺将与新政府商讨实施方案。目前李在明以约 50% 支持率领先，而在 Polymarket 上显示其胜选概率达 87%。本次总统大选定于 6 月 3 日举行，为前总统尹锡悦遭弹劾后的特别选举。
