Super League Enterprise said it will undergo a 35% reduction in its workforce and a restructuring of management compensation.

As of Dec. 31, the company had 75 full-time and full-time equivalent employees, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Based on that, the layoffs would affect about 26 people. The layoffs were effective April 14.

The company said Tuesday the cost reduction measures were necessary for strategic realignment with industry consolidation trends.

The company also said its executive chair, chief executive and chief financial officer agreed to a 10% reduction of their respective annual salaries beginning May 1.

The measures will help the publisher of playable games reduce operating costs by about $2.7 million this year, which it said will help reach its targeted goal of being EBITDA positive in the fourth quarter.

"Today's announcement reinforces our commitment to streamlining the company's cost structure towards the goal of achieving profitability as quickly as possible," said Chief Executive Matt Edelman.
