东方海外国际签署30.8亿美元造船合约
5月7日，东方海外国际（00316）发布公告，宣布与南通川崎及大连川崎签订了建造14艘18500TEU级甲醇双燃料动力集装箱船舶的造船合约，总价格为30.8亿美元（约合240.24亿港元），每艘船舶的价格为2.2亿美元（约合17.16亿港元）。该造船交易的主要目的是为了提升船队运力，符合其长期发展战略。
根据公告，预计每艘船舶将在2028年第3季度至2029年第3季度交付。计划在交付前获得不超过60%的外部融资，剩余部分将由内部资源支付。公告还提到，造船合约的付款将分为五期支付，主要部分将在船舶交付时支付。造船合约中包含了延迟交付及技术规格未达标的违约赔偿条款，以保障公司的权益。
该交易需要在2025年5月27日举行的股东特别大会上获得独立股东的批准。公告中提到，独立董事委员会和独立财务顾问已对该交易进行了评估，认为交易条款公平合理，符合公司及股东的整体利益。根据2024年年报，录得收入约107.02亿美元，股东应占溢利约25.77亿美元，显示出良好的财务状况和增长潜力。
