Dow Jones
08 May

1005 GMT - AB InBev's 1Q performance beat ING's expectations and is more or less in line with the market consensus, ING analysts say in a note. The brewer's total organic volumes were down 2.2%, while ING expected a 4.1% drop, and revenue beat ING's expectations by 1.9%, they say. Additionally, adjusted Ebitda grew 7.9% organically, beating ING's expectations of a 4.8% drop and coming in at the top end of the company's guidance for the year, they add. "This represents a very strong start to the year given the leap year, tough comparatives and Easter phasing headwinds," the analysts say. Shares are up 3.5% at 59.58 euros.
