Piedmont Lithium (ASX:PLL) reported Thursday that its adjusted loss per diluted share in the fiscal first quarter narrowed to $0.46 from a loss of $0.61 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss per diluted share of $0.54.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $20 million, up from $13.4 million in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $25.1 million.
The company also said it expects less than $2 million in capital expenditure in the fiscal second quarter.
The company's shares were down almost 5% in recent Thursday trade.
