China's new energy vehicle charging facilities increased 47.6% year over year to reach about 13.8 million facilities as of the end of March, Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday.
Of the figure, 3.9 million are public charging points while about 9.9 million of them are private facilities, the report said.
China's highways have 38,000 charging points across 98% of service areas in the country, while 13 provincial-level divisions have coverage in all townships, with penetration at the town level reaching 76.9%, the report said.
