Revolut Teams Up with Lightspark to Launch Bitcoin Lightning Payments for European Users

BlockBeats News, May 7th, according to CoinDesk, digital bank Revolut announced that it will partner with Lightspark to launch a Bitcoin Lightning Network-based payment feature in the UK and some European Economic Area countries. This move leverages Lightspark's payment infrastructure to reduce transaction fees and accelerate payment processing speed. Users need to complete KYC verification in their Revolut accounts and hold BTC to experience the Lightning payment feature in the upgraded app. Lightspark, led by former PayPal executive David Marcus, focuses on building a global payment solution based on the Bitcoin Lightning Network. Currently, Revolut has not disclosed the specific launch date of this feature.
