LoanDepot founder and Executive Chairman Anthony Hsieh will run the company on an interim basis after President and Chief Executive Frank Martell moves to a board advisory role in June.
Hsieh will focus on expanding originations and driving innovation through tech enablement, the company said Tuesday. Hsieh, who returned to the company on a day-to-day basis in the first quarter, said loanDepot's strengths put it in a position to regain market share and grow its business.
"Our multi-channel sales model, proprietary mello tech stack, wide product array, powerful brand muscle and our servicing business are foundational places in which loanDepot can win," Hsieh said.
LoanDepots offers digital-first home purchase, refinancing and equity lending products to consumers.
