智通财经APP获悉，埃隆·马斯克旗下xAI正在使用特斯拉(TSLA.US)Megapack电池来支持其位于孟菲斯的“Colossus”超级计算机，这是马斯克公司之间利益重叠的又一个例子。
美国大孟菲斯商会(Greater Memphis Chamber)周三在一份新闻稿中表示，该系统已添加Megapack电池，以帮助其应对停电和需求激增的情况。该商业组织表示，xAI项目最近已连接到一座新的变电站，该变电站可提供150兆瓦的电力。
马斯克的人工智能初创公司迅速采取行动，分两期建设该设施，并因使用天然气涡轮机而受到环境组织的抨击。随着第一期工程的完工，部分涡轮机将被拆除。
150兆瓦Megapack的使用也凸显了马斯克旗下五家公司之间的合作。根据特斯拉最近提交的文件，从2024年1月到今年2月，xAI在Megapacks上花费了约2.3亿美元。马斯克还领导着SpaceX、Neuralink和the Boring Company。
