The Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA), representing major US firms such as Apple, Amazon, and Google, joined South Korea's Carbon Free Energy (CFE) initiative through a memorandum of understanding signed with the CF Alliance.
CEBA will now participate in shaping global CFE certification standards, expanding the initiative's working group to include seven key members, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said in a Thursday release.
The collaboration aims to boost carbon-free energy adoption through joint conferences, cross-border policy, and technology cooperation, the release said.
