Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) repurchased 260,000 shares from the London Stock Exchange at an average price of 8.3465 pounds sterling apiece on Thursday, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Following the buyback, the insurer will have 2,605,077,215 shares in issue.
Pru intends to cancel the repurchased shares.
