【美国监管机构撤销对谷歌支付业务的监管】金色财经报道，美国消费者金融保护局（CFPB）撤销了将谷歌旗下支付业务纳入监管的指令，逆转了拜登政府时期对非银行金融平台实施监管的决定。备忘录显示，由特朗普任命的CFPB代理局长拉塞尔·沃特认为，监管谷歌支付业务是“对该局权力和资源的不当使用”。2023年12月，在前局长罗希特·乔普拉领导下的CFPB曾表示，谷歌支付业务已在其执法管辖范围内，但仍符合“法律要求”的监管条件。不过谷歌已于去年6月关停了该支付服务。拜登执政期间，乔普拉领导的CFPB曾将数字钱包和支付应用等非银行金融机构的监管作为工作重点。但随着监管重心转向持牌银行机构，该机构已终止多项针对非存款类金融公司的监管政策和诉讼。
