Carlyle Shares Rise After Q1 Results

Carlyle Group (CG) shares were up more than 4% in recent trading Thursday following its Q1 results.

Earlier, the private equity firm reported Q1 net income of $0.35 per share, up from $0.18 a year earlier. Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.05.

It posted after-tax distributable earnings of $1.14 per share, up from $1.01 a year earlier.

Total revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $973.1 million, up from $688.4 million. Analysts expected $992.4 million.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.35 per share, Payable May 27 to holders of record May 19.
