Why the Chase Sapphire Preferred card stands out

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is one of our favorite travel cards for a reason. With a $95 annual fee, this card packs in impressive value -- especially for people who like to travel and dine out.

Here's what it offers:

  • 5X points on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠
  • 3X points on dining, select streaming services, and online groceries
  • 2X points on all other travel
  • 1X points on other purchases
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Up to $50 back on hotel stays booked through Chase Travel each year

That's a lot of earning power for a card that costs less than $100 a year.

If that sounds like a good deal to you, then click here to apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees) before the limited-time bonus is gone.

What's missing?

This isn't a luxury travel card, so there are a few high-end perks it doesn't offer:

  • No airport lounge access
  • No TSA PreCheck or Global Entry credits
  • No automatic elite status with hotels, airlines, or car rental agencies

It also doesn't come with a 0% intro APR, so if your priority is paying down existing debt, a balance transfer card might be a better fit. (But good luck finding one with travel rewards like these.)

If the Chase Sapphire Preferred card is right for you, then don't wait

A sign-up bonus of 100,000 bonus points on a card with a $95 annual fee is rare -- and incredibly valuable.

If you redeemed that bonus for travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal, the card would basically pay for itself for the next 13 years. And that's not even counting all the rewards you could rack up through everyday spending.

If you've been on the fence, now is the time to act. Once this offer is gone, there's no telling when (or if) it will return.

Click here to apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees) while the elevated bonus is still around.
