智通财经APP获悉，据报道，Meta Platforms(META.US)正在与多家加密货币公司洽谈引入稳定币来管理支出，并聘请了一位具有加密货币经验的产品副总裁来协助讨论。
今年1月，Meta聘请专注于金融科技和支付领域的Ginger Baker担任产品副总裁。一位消息人士透露，Baker正在协助Meta探索稳定币业务。
另外三位消息人士表示，这家社交媒体和科技巨头今年早些时候就与加密基础设施公司进行了接触。
报道称，此次讨论尚处于初步阶段，重点关注稳定币相对于法定货币的一个关键特性——能够向不同地区的个人支付，而无需像电汇等其他支付方式那样产生高额费用。
报道称，一家加密基础设施提供商的高管建议，Instagram可以整合稳定币，以便向不同市场的创作者支付100美元左右的小额款项，这将比使用法定货币支付的费用更低。
另外两位加密货币高管表示，他们已经与Meta进行了早期讨论，重点关注支付用例。
