BlockBeats 消息，5 月 12 日，Coinbase 首席执行官 Brian Armstrong 透露，这家加密交易平台曾考虑将其资产负债表的 80% 投入比特币，但由于担心这可能“毁掉公司”而放弃了这一想法。在与客户进行的问答环节中，高管们被问及是否错过了更早开始积累 BTC 的机会，因为公司比软件公司 Strategy 早了八年开始运营。
Armstrong 认为，比特币的波动性意味着激进的策略过于冒险，特别是在 Coinbase 早期阶段，当时需要达成关键里程碑以解锁额外的融资轮。“如果我们的资金跑道从 18 个月突然缩短到 12 个月，甚至 10 个月，那可能会完全毁掉公司，”Armstrong 说。
