Virgin Media O2 and Daisy Group have announced plans to merge their direct B2B operations, forming a significant new company in the UK business communications and IT sector. The new entity, with projected annual revenues of around £1.4 billion, will see Virgin Media O2 consolidating the majority of its business with Daisy Group holding a 30% stake. The merger aims to drive growth through increased scale and efficiency, offering a wide array of digital connectivity solutions and managed services, including 5G Private Networks and IoT connectivity. Matthew Riley, founder of Daisy Group, will serve as the chairman, while Jo Bertram, Managing Director of Virgin Media O2 Business, will be the CEO. The newly formed company will cater to a diverse range of UK businesses, leveraging the infrastructure and expertise of both parent companies.
