路透底特律5月12日 - 通用汽车GM.N周一表示，已聘请自动驾驶卡车公司Aurora的联合创始人斯特林-安德森（Sterling Anderson）担任其全球产品执行副总裁。
这位自动驾驶汽车技术领域的领军人物在6月2日加入通用汽车后将向通用汽车总裁马克-鲁伊斯（Mark Reuss）汇报工作，他还将兼任首席产品官，负责监督汽油车和电动车的产品生命周期。他将在底特律汽车制造商位于加利福尼亚州的山景城技术中心工作。
安德森于2017年与他人共同创办了极光公司，此前曾在特斯拉TSLA.O工作，领导Model X项目和特斯拉自动驾驶团队。
