PPG Industries plans to invest $380 million in a new manufacturing facility for aerospace coatings and sealants amid growing demand from its aerospace customers.

The Pittsburgh paint and coatings company said Thursday it plans to start construction on the facility in October and is targeting completion in the first half of 2027.

The plant, located in Shelby, N.C., will employ more than 110 people, the company said.
