Entegris has hired David Reeder to succeed Bertrand Loy at the helm of the supplier of advanced materials and process solutions to the semiconductor industry, plucking the executive from pet-product retailer Chewy.
Entegris on Monday said Loy, who has been president and CEO of the Billerica, Mass., company since November 2012, will retire from those posts on Aug. 18 but will remain as executive chairman through the second quarter of 2026.
Reeder, who joined the Entegris board in 2024, currently serves as chief financial officer of Chewy, which said he will remain in his post through its next earnings announcement in June and will assist with the transition as the Plantation, Fla., company conducts a search for a new finance chief.
Reeder joined Chewy as chief financial officer in February 2024 after serving as finance chief for chip maker GlobalFoundries.
