SK Hynix (KRX:000660) plans to build a $4 billion semiconductor packaging facility in Indiana after the West Lafayette City Council approved a land rezoning request, Pulse News reported last week.

The facility will be built near Purdue University on Purdue Research Foundation land, the report said.

Shares of SK Hynix rose more than 2% in recent trade on Monday.
